1. Mandatory Attendance Requirement

  • CBSE Compliance: In strict accordance with CBSE guidelines, every student must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance during the academic session to be eligible to appear for the final Annual Examinations.
  • Regularity: Parents are expected to ensure their children do not miss classes unless it is absolutely unavoidable.

2. Procedure for Applying for Leave

  • Prior Sanction: For any planned absence, a formal leave application must be submitted to the class teacher in advance.
  • The School Diary: Short leave requests (1–2 days) must be written and signed by the parent or guardian in the designated “Leave Record” section of the student’s School Diary.
  • Long Absence: For leave exceeding three consecutive days, a formal letter addressed to the Principal must be submitted by the parent, clearly stating the reason for the absence.

3. Medical Leave

  • Sickness Notification: In case of an unexpected illness, the school authorities must be informed on the very first day of absence.
  • Medical Certificate: If a student is absent for more than three days due to medical reasons, they must submit a valid Medical Certificate from a registered medical practitioner upon returning to school.
  • Examinations: No re-examination will be conducted for students absent during terminal or formal assessments, except under critical medical grounds supported by immediate documentation.

4. Unexcused Absence & Disciplinary Action

  • Unsanctioned Leave: Continuous absence from school for more than 6 consecutive working days without a valid, approved leave application will result in the student’s name being struck off the school rolls.
  • Re-admission: In such cases, re-admission will strictly be at the discretion of the Principal and will incur a formal re-admission fee.
  • Latecomers: Students arriving late will not be allowed to attend classes unless they bring a written explanation from their parents in the school diary.

5. Leaving Campus Mid-Hours (Short Leave)

  • Gate Pass System: No student is permitted to leave the school premises during regular school hours under any circumstances without a written request from the parent and a subsequent Gate Pass authorized by the Principal.
  • Escort Required: For emergency mid-day departures, a parent or an authorized adult guardian must come to the school campus in person to escort the child home.
